Biography

Krishnarjuna Bankala is a research fellow in the department of Medicinal Chemistry at Monash University. Krishna received his master’s degree in biochemistry in 2005 from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, and joined Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2006 as a research assistant. With the encouragement of scientists at IISc, Krishna joined Professor Ray Norton's laboratory as a PhD student to continue his research life. He graduated in September 2016 with his PhD and is currently working as a research fellow in the same lab. His main research interests are the characterization of clinically important biomolecules using spectroscopic methods, with a focus on developing peptide (toxins) based drugs for treating autoimmune diseases.
