Biography

Kathlyn is a Senior Research Fellow. She is currently completing a case-control study designed to identify risk factors for myocarditis with the atypical antipsychotic clozapine. The final step is the genetic analysis. In addition, she has teaching responsibilities for two units in the Bachelor of Health Sciences, Treatments and Technologies and Disease Prevention and Control.

Prior to joining DEPM, Kathlyn spent 17 years in adverse drug reactions, firstly for the regulator in New Zealand, and then in Australia as Secretary of ACRAC. Kathlyn's educational background is organic chemistry, with a DPhil from the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.
