Personal profile

Biography

Dr Kate Young is a behavioural and social scientist who takes a population level perspective to health service delivery. She uses diverse research methods to study how reproductive healthcare can foster women’s full social and economic participation. Kate specialises in how clinicians can address the psychosocial aspects of endometriosis to support women in the management of their disease in the absence of a cure and effective long-term treatment. She is an avid user of social media to connect academia to the ‘real world,’ and frequently writes about women’s health research for major news outlets including The Guardian, SBS Online and The Conversation.
