Kate Jacobs is an Educational Psychologist, lecturer and researcher in the Faculty of Education at Monash University, Melbourne. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists, and committee member of the APS Psychologists in Schools Interest Group. Kate is also a member of SPELD's expert working group.

In addition to psychological scale development and validation, Kate's teaching and research interests centre around psycho-educational assessment practices, particuarly those related to advancing knowledge surrounding the link between cognitive ability and academic achievement, as well as evidence-based assessment of specific learning disorders.
