Biography

Dr Clarke's research interests include gender analysis, rural and remote wellbeing, restructuring and livelihoods, gender and climate change, and public policy analysis. Dr Clarke completed her PhD ‘A gender analysis of agricultural and rural restructuring in the Mallee region' (2015) in the Gender, Leadership and Social Sustainability (GLASS) Research Unit. She then worked in the GLASS Research Unit as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the 'Social sustainability in dairying communities impacted by the Murray-Darling Basin Plan' research project. Prior to commencing her doctoral studies she worked as a researcher for a Victorian women's health organisation, and also previously worked for a number of years in Alice Springs and Central Australia in community development and aged and disability services.
