Biography

Dr. Joseph Chan CL received the B.Eng. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from Monash University Malaysia, Bandar Sunway, Malaysia, in 2013 and 2019, respectively.

He worked as a Postdoctoral Research in Monash University Malaysia in 2019. He was a Brain Korea PLUS (BK21+) Postdoctoral Fellowship Scholar with Jeonbuk National University, Jeonju, South Korea, where he was also a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2019 to 2021. He rejoined Monash University Malaysia in 2021 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

Research interests

His research interests include the application of sliding mode observers in non-infinitely observable descriptor systems and other practical systems, as well as fault reconstruction in non-linear systems, and the development of observers for monitoring peer-to-peer transactions in microgrids with power generation and storage elements.
