Biography

Janet is an Education Focused academic with over 20 years experience in higher education. She is Director of Undergraduate Education and the Teaching Unit in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Janet's roles encompass leading and supporting quality improvements in teaching and learning and enhancement of the student learning experience. Janet is also the leader of the Biochemistry Education Research Team which focuses on student learning in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Health and Medical Education with the overall aim to improve the learning and teaching process and student learning outcomes. She is engaged in the development, delivery and research of biochemical education in the context of Science, Health and Medical courses with the aim of empowering students to become active independent learners.
