Biography

Jamuna Rani is a pharmacist with more than 10 years of community and clinical pharmacy practice experience in Malaysia. Along her healthcare service years, she has contributed to ethical prescription and non-prescription dispensing, patient counseling, essential medication cold-storage management, wholesale medicine and satellite pharmacy management and consultation on product registration. With the committed passion for continuing medical education (CME) and bedside teaching to nurses, pharmacist technicians, and junior pharmacists, she progressed her career into academia and research. Since then, Jamuna has been actively involved in clinical pharmacy teaching and learning activities, module development and coordination, and student placement facilitation. She collaborates with many local and international researchers and industries with a keen interest in personalized solution involving digital technology advancement for the aging workforce and geriatric community.

Research interests

Translational research in the aging and geriatric care with specific interest in:

1. patient education and counseling.

2. mhealth and ehealth.

3. quality of life.

4. Digital health
