Biography

James Bowman Fletcher is a part-time practising architect and part-time lecturer within the Department of Architecture at Monash University. His research interests include architecture and labour, architecture and art, and architecture and democracy.

Some of James' works include the Apparatus Series (2016-2019), completed as a cofounder of 227768c and OCTA; House from Another House (2019-2022); House from Another House (2022-2023); and Three Walls, Three Rooms (2022-).

In 2023, James was awarded an Early Career Researcher Grant by Monash University's Office of the Provost and Senior Vice-President to undertake fieldwork and archival research at the Judd Foundation and The Chinati Foundation/La Fundación Chinati in Marfa, Texas.
