Biography

Jacqui is a Registered Nurse with teaching and research interests in aged care, community health and chronic illness management. Jacqui completed her Doctor of Philosophy in 2017, thesis entitled ‘Improving older people’s experience in transitional care: co-design of TRANSITION’ for which she was awarded the HESTA Award for Research Scholarship for outstanding research scholarship by a domestic PhD student at the Deakin University School of Nursing and Midwifery. Following her clinical nursing career, in 2008 Jacqui commenced teaching and research in universities in pre-registration and post-registration nursing courses.  In recognition of her educaiton leadership, Jacqui was awarded Senior Fellow Higher Educaiton Academy in 2023.
