Biography
Ir. Dr Izni Zahidi is a civil engineering academic at Monash University Malaysia with experience across academia and industry. Her research applies remote sensing, Geographic Information System, and predictive modelling to advance natural resource management and climate adaptation. She has led international projects and award-winning innovations on climate risk modelling, nature-based solutions, and the water–energy–food–environment nexus, supported by the EU Horizon 2020, Swiss–ASEAN Research Partnership Grants, UK Royal Academy of Engineering, and the UK’s Climate Action for a Resilient Asia (CARA). Her work integrates data-driven methods with community insights to guide climate-resilient policy and development.
