Biography

Isabella Papadopoulos is a multilingual researcher and educator with a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science from Monash University. Her Honours thesis explored communication in general practice, focusing on improving care for older Greek patients with limited English proficiency - reflecting her commitment to health equity and advocacy for vulnerable populations.

Isabella currently serves as Project Manager for the VicHealth Amplifying Uncloud at Monash campaign, leading strategic planning and implementation of initiatives aimed at educating young people about the harms of vaping and supporting those who wish to quit. Her role involves extensive collaboration with students, student associations, and public health stakeholders, and demands high-level project management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of impactful, evidence-informed outputs.

Alongside this, Isabella is a Teaching Associate at Monash University, facilitating tutorials and workshops for undergraduate students in BMS1042 (Public Health and Preventive Medicine). Her teaching focuses on epidemiological study design, public health principles, and critical appraisal of health literature. She fosters inclusive, student-centred learning environments that support analytical thinking and diverse learner needs.

Previously, Isabella managed the RACGP Academic Post University Support Partner project, coordinating academic development for general practice registrars and aligning university and clinical training goals. She also worked as a Research Fellow in the ALLIANCE and ORIENT trials within the Department of General Practice, contributing to research aimed at improving access to long-acting reversible contraception and early medical abortion in rural and regional Australia. Her responsibilities included qualitative data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings to inform public health policy.
