Personal profile

Research interests

My research relates to understanding the neurobiology of acquired epilepsy using preclinical models specially focusing on Brain inflammation. My goal is to applying imaging techniques to measure brain inflammation as biomarker for predicting development of epilepsy following a brain insult. In addition, I aim to apply pharmacological and genetic techniques to modify brain inflammation as a strategy to inhibit development of epilepsy post-brain insult.
