Biography
Dr Irene Ling completed her BSc in Applied Chemistry in 2004, MTech in Materials Science in 2006 and PhD in 2010 all from the University of Malaya. After significant time building independent research as a postdoc, she was appointed as a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry in 2016 within the School of Science at Monash Malaysia. Her research interest include studying supramolecular chemistry (self-assembly), crystallography & crystal engineering, advanced materials (carbon rich nanomaterials, fluorescent dyes), sensors and green chemistry (organocatalyst). She has published over 20 research and review articles since 2005, primarily in the area of supramolecular chemistry and crystal engineering. She has been invited to give talks on her research at various Universities and Conferences abroad, including Flinder’s University (2014), Monash University (2015) and The Collaborative Conference on Crystal Growth, Hong Kong (2015).
