Biography
Hui Xu completed her B.A. at Sichuan University, China. (major subjects are Modern Chinese Language, Classical Chinese Language, Classical Chinese Literature, History of Contemporary Chinese Literature, Contemporary Chinese Novel, Contemporary Chinese Dramatic Criticism, Contemporary Chinese Poetry, Contemporary Chinese Film, History of Foreign Literature, Contemporary Western Schools of Literature, and Contemporary Chinese Theory of Literature).
After graduating from Sichuan University in 1982, Hui Xu became an editor-in-cheif of The Young Writers, a Chinese literature magazine run by the Writers and Artists Association, China.
Hui Xu is now a coordinator of advanced Chinese language units in Chinese studies program. Her publications are many on Chinese creative writing and language teaching.
