Personal profile


Dr Hilary Monk is a lecturer, researcher and Early Childhood Professional Experience Liaison based at the Peninsula Campus. She has more than 30 years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Her research investigates the ways in which young children's learning and development are shaped by family and societal practices over time. She is a member of the Child and Community Development Faculty Research Group.

Research interests

Hilarys research interests and expertise include: everyday life in intergenerational families, family pedagogy, early childhood curriculum, cultural-historical theory, visual methodologies and adult education.
