Research interests

My main area of research is computational group theory and algebra. Please see users.monash.edu/~heikod for details.

Supervision interests

I am interested in supervising students in the area of computational algebra. Students eager to discuss options should first have a look at my research background and interests as outlined on my website. I generally ignore non-personal e-mails and random requests which are clearly outside my area. I also require proof that the student is capable of research at a high level; I might ask the student to type a difficult proof in impeccably written English on a result of my choosing.
