Biography

Gulzar commenced at Monash University in 2014 as a sessional academic prior to her current appointment as Lecturer. She is a highly experienced registered nurse who has 20 years of nursing experience in a various health care settings both in Australia and overseas. She has strong clinical and educational background in acute and critical care nursing in particular cardio-thoracic. Before stepping into higher education, Gulzar has worked for a few years in clinical education. She was former lecturer at LaTrobe University and also worked as a sessional academic at Deakin University. Her interest towards research and scholarly writing has led her to undertake PhD studies from Monash University. She has examined  how evidence-based practice concepts are integrated into undergraduate nursing education.
