Biography
Dr. Goh Bey Hing joined Monash University Malaysia as a lecturer in March 2013. He obtained his BSc. (Hons.) and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from University of Malaya. He has great experience and immense knowledge in molecular and cellular biology studies, especially in deciphering the apoptotic modulatory effects of natural products on human cancer cell lines. Apart from that, he also engaged himself with the molecular studies of neuropharmacological activities of natural products. His research projects are mainly emphasizing on the importance of fundamental understanding of the molecular pathways modulation by bioactive compounds, as it is essential to the development of new therapeutic strategies for different chronic diseases. His current research interests reside in exploring pharmacological potentials of medicinal plants and microbes for the benefit of mankind.
