Biography

Dr Georgina Lau is a Research Fellow working within the Pre-hospital, Emergency and Trauma Research Unit in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

Her research focuses on improving the prevention of injury events involving alcohol and other drugs. Through this work, she brings together researchers and clinicians from across the emergency care, injury prevention and alcohol and other drug sectors.

She was awarded a Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship in 2020 to support her research and is currently Chair of the Alcohol and Other Drug Subcommittee for the Australasian Injury Prevention Network.
