Dr Georgina Cox is a psychologist and senior research fellow who has worked and trained in Nottingham, Auckland and Melbourne. She has extensive expertise in conducting Systematic Reviews, as well as original research including the development and implementation of online therapy programs. She is currently a senior research fellow within the Department of Paediatrics Education and Research at Monash University, alongside working clinically as a psychologist in the Neurodevelopment and Disability team at the Royal Children's Hospital, supporting parents of children with a neurodisability. She is also a sessional lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, where she lectures postgraduate psychology students on the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders in children and adolescents. Dr Cox has a particular interest in adapting Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for use with children on the Autism Spectrum and their parents, to help families thrive through different life stages of neurodevelopmental differences.
