Biography
Dr. Ganeshsree Selvachandran is a Professor at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia (MUM). She received the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics (specializing in Pure Mathematics) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2013. She serves as the editor of five international journals, including the well-known Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Elsevier (IF: 8.0), and Computers and Electrical Engineering, Elsevier (IF: 4.3). She is also an active reviewer for more than 30 international journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus, and has reviewed more than 150 papers for these journals thus far. She has served as a member of the scientific review committee for several local and international conferences. She is a prolific researcher in the areas of fuzzy mathematics, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and computational intelligence, and have thus far authored more than 90 research articles and conference papers in these areas. In 2019, she was ranked no. 6 in the World's Top Authors in the areas of fuzzy sets, fuzzy systems, and complex fuzzy by Scopus, Elsevier. In recognition of her expertise in fuzzy mathematics, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and computational intelligence, she was appointed as a member of the Special Interest Group on Blue Economy (Oceanography) of the Malaysian Academy of Sciences (ASM) in April 2020, and was part of the team that published the Position Paper on Blue Economy in 2022. To date, she has successfully obtained research grants totaling more than MYR880,000 that includes four Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, 1 industry grant from MTSFB, and 1 professorial chair grant from PNB. She has also received numerous internal, national, and international awards for her excellence in research and academics.
