Biography

Professor Frank Thien is Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Box Hill Hospital, Eastern Health, and the Monash University Clinical School, Melbourne. He has clinical and research interests in severe asthma, drug allergy, functional lung imaging, and interstitial lung diseases.

He is a current and past NHMRC research grant recipient of over $3.76 million and has co-authored over 190 papers. He is also Past President of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), having been president from 2016 to 2018.
