Biography

A postdoctoral scholar at Monash University specialising in fungal biology and advanced imaging methods.

PhD in infection and immunity from Monash University which focused on the innate immune interactions of Candida albicans. Also completed a Master of Science at the University of Auckland, characterizing antifungal compounds produced by Scytinostroma sp.

Extensive teaching experience, serving as a Senior Tutor at The University of Auckland and Teaching Associate at Monash University, teaching subjects such as medical microbiology, physiology, and biochemistry.

An accomplished communicator, receiving multiple first place awards for conference presentations, including the 2022 Early Career Researcher Talk Award at the HFP FEBS Advanced Course in Nice, France. With expertise in research, teaching, and communication, I am committed to advancing our knowledge of complex disease mechanisms and training the next generation of scientists.
