Biography

Dr Fernando Sousa is a Research Fellow in the Department of Physiotherapy at Monash University. His research focuses on developing, optimising, and testing interventions and strategies to reduce musculoskeletal pain. He has a particular interest in process evaluation, especially intervention fidelity, and in translating cost-effective interventions into clinical practice. Fernando currently leads an international team creating a reporting guideline for intervention fidelity in non-drug, non-surgical trials, and manages a large clinical trial evaluating an internet-based intervention for shoulder pain and disability.
