Biography

Dr Felicity Chaplin completed her PhD in 2015. She currently holds the position of Scholarly Teaching Fellow in French Studies at Monash University. She is author of La Parisienne in cinema: between art and life for Manchester University Press and Charlotte Gainsbourg: Transnational and transmedia stardom also for Manchester University Press. 

Her research interests include cinema, culture histories of Paris, art, fashion, and celebrity and star studies. 

She is main supervisor for a Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies (French into English) project and associate supervisor for a PhD thesis on Marcel Proust and cinema and is currently available for Honours, MA and PhD supervision.
