Biography

Dr Farhad Fatehi is a Research Fellow at the School of Psychological Sciences and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health. He also an Honorary Research Fellow in Digital Health with the Centre for Online Health, The University of Queensland. His research is focused on the development and evaluation of new models of healthcare using digital technologies, in particular for chronic diseases. Other areas of his research include Telemedicine/Telehealth Policy as well as security and privacy of information systems in healthcare.

Dr Fatehi’s academic qualifications are MD (Tehran University of Medical Sciences, 1997), MSc in International Health (Heidelberg University, 2006) and PhD in Telemedicine (The University of Queensland, 2014). After graduating from The University of Queensland in 2014, Farhad was awarded a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (2015-2016) to work on a Mobile Health (mHealth) project for diabetes care. In 2016, Dr Fatehi won a highly competitive 3-year Advance Queensland Fellowship to pursue his research career in the field of digital health.
