Biography
Evgeny Gugluvatyy serves as an Associate Professor within the Department of Business Law and Taxation at the School of Business, Monash University, Malaysia, where he also assumes the role of Head of the Sustainable Business Research Cluster. His academic expertise centres on sustainability, climate change law and policy, ESG, taxation, and forest regulations. Dr. Gugluvatyy earned his Doctoral degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where his research focused on a comparative analysis of climate change policies, particularly exploring the potential application of carbon taxation and emissions trading within the Australian context. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed a Master’s degree in law at the University of Nottingham, following a Bachelor's Honours degree in law from Chelyabinsk State University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gugluvatyy has accumulated substantial teaching and research experience across multiple esteemed institutions. His research output encompasses various aspects of climate change, taxation, forest regulations, and extends to emerging areas such as cryptocurrency regulation. Dr. Gugluvatyy actively engages with scholarly communities and is affiliated with organisations such as the Climate Change: Impacts & Responses research network, Australasian Law Teachers Association, and Australasian Tax Teachers Association. His publications contribute significantly to the academic discourse on legal and regulatory frameworks addressing contemporary environmental and social challenges.
