Biography

I am a senior lecturer in marketing at the Monash Business School, Monash University, in Melbourne, Australia. Research interests

My research interests are primarily in financial decision-making and political marketing. My main emphasis is on understanding the antecedents of financial risk-taking. As such, my research encompasses the study of investment behaviour, gambling, and even consumer risk-taking such as the choice of counterfeit consumer goods and non-brand name products. Meanwhile, I also conduct research in understanding the psychology of political ideology and how it can influence consumption behaviours.

I have presented my research at the American Psychological Society, Association for Consumer Research, Association for Psychological Science, Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy, Society for Consumer Psychology, Society for Judgment and Decision Making, Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and the Western Economic Association International. I am also well-published, including outlets such as British Journal of Social PsychologyComputers in Human Behavior, European Journal of Social PsychologyEvolution and Human Behavior, International Journal of Research in Marketing, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. I serve as an adhoc reviewer for European Journal of MarketingFamily Business Review, Journal of Business ResearchJournal of Consumer Research, Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Political Psychology.
