Biography

Professor Dragan Ilic is the Director, Teaching & Learning and Head, Medical Education Research & Quality (MERQ) unit at the School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine (SPHPM). Dragan is responsible for overseeing the education programs at the SPHPM. He is course coordinator of the Bachelor of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Public Health and Master of Public Health (online). Dragan is responsible for coordinating the Evidence Based Clinical Practice (EBCP) curriculum for the medicine program at Monash University.

Dragan is internationally recognised for his expertise in evidence-based practice (EBP) and health professions education. He is a board member of the International Society of Evidence-based Health Care (ISEBHC), editorial member of Cochrane Urology and member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Health Professions Educators. He sits on a variety of health professions journals, including the Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions as Reviews Editor.

Dragan has a keen research interest in health professions education and public health. His research in health professions education include evaluation, assessment, psychometrics and cost & value research. Over the years Dragan has led a variety of public health projects across prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, male infertility and androgen deficiency.

Dragan also sits on a variety on panels including University affiliated research panels and teaching committees, and NHMRC research panels. He is a previous recipient of the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Exceptional Performance.
