Biography
David Wei Dai, PhD, FHEA is Lecturer (equivalent tenure-track Assistant Professor) at the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. He is Editor for the journal TESOL in Context and Nominating Member for the International Language Testing Association (ILTA). David is Visiting Scholar at Columbia University in the US, and University College London and King's College London in the UK. His main research interests are

David's PhD dissertation has won the 2023 American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) Dissertation Award. the first Australian dissertation that has won the award. David's work on lingua franca listening assessment has won the Caroline Clapham IELTS Masters Award and was published in Language Assessment Quarterly.
