Biography

Dr Badov has been a practising specialist physician with nearly 30 years experience in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Bowel Cancer Prevention, Preventative Medicine and Longevity has been an integral part of his research into the latest medical advances, technology and wellness tools to incorporate into HealthScreen. Dr Badov graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1989 and trained at the Royal Melbourne, Alfred and Frankston Hospitals. Dr Badov has numerous publications, including major international journals in the gastroenterological field, and is currently the Head of Gastroenterology at the Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals (Peninsula Health), Medical Director of Direct Endoscopy and Director of the Peninsula Liver Clinic.

His areas of expertise include diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Dr Badov has performed over 120,000 endoscopic procedures over the last twenty five years, with particular interest in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. His other medical interests include liver disease, particularly viral hepatitis and Hepatology. He is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA), the Australian Liver Association (ALA).
