Daniel is a Research Fellow in the Methods in Evidence Synthesis Unit at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. Daniel originally trained as a radiation therapist, working both clinically and in a research role, then as a research coordinator between managing multimodality cancer clinical trials. In addition to his role at Monash University, he is a Research Project Supervisor within the University of Melbourne’s Master of Cancer Sciences course, as well as serves on the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Research Quality Steering Committee’s (RQSC) Education & Training Working Group and the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute’s (SAHMRI) Australian Particle Therapy Clinical Quality Registry (ASPIRE) Steering Committee.

Research interests

Daniel's research interests include the examination and incentivisation of data and code sharing in medicine and health, systematic review methodology and reporting, and the study of other research and publication practices such as computational reproducibility, replicability, peer review and retraction (i.e., 'meta-research' or 'metascience').
