Biography

Chris Moran is an Associate Professor of Health Services Research at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University.

Chris is also a geriatrician based at Alfred Health and the Course Coordinator of the Master of Health Managament and Master of Health Administration Programs at Monash University.

His research interests include understanding the links between cardiometabolic disease and brain health and approaches to improving health services. His research has been supported by funding from National Institues of Health (USA), National Health and Medical Research Council, Medical Research Futures Fund, Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Dementia Australia. 

Chris has a strong track record in using epidemiological and neuroimaging techniques in large datasets to understand factors influencing brain ageing. He also has substantial experience in projects bridging clinical-academic areas such as implementation science. Chris is Chair of the Scientific and Research sub-committee of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine and sits on the management committee of the Australasian Journal on Ageing.
