Dr. Choon Siew Eng is an Associate Professor at Clinical School Johor Bahru, Monash University Malaysia, and a senior consultant dermatologist at Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. She received her medical degree from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was subsequently admitted as a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), London. She completed her postgraduate training as a General Physician and was awarded a public service scholarship to pursue dermatology training and subsequently a fellowship to train in dermatopathology in St.John’s Institute of Dermatology, London, UK. She was elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2003

Dr Choon is a foundation member of the Asian Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and an active member of the Malaysian Society of Dermatology and the Malaysian Medical Association. She has served the International Psoriasis Council (IPC) as a councilor since 2017 and is currently a board member of IPC. She is also a board member of Malaysian Skin Foundation. Dr Choon’s main research area is chronic inflammatory skin diseases, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis particularly pustular psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and cutaneous adverse drug reactions. She is an associate editor of Experimental Dermatology
