Biography

Charles Raymond A/L Sarimuthu graduated with B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering and the M.Eng. degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. He received his Ph.D in electrical power engineering from National Energy University, Malaysia in 2019. Prior to joining academic, he has served in a multinational electronic manufacturing company as an electrical engineer. From 2010 onwards, he has involved in electrical and electronics engineering degree program in various institution of higher learning namely AIMST University, Nilai University (Nilai U), Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College and Taylor’s University. In 2018, he started serving as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. He has vast experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research interest includes, voltage control, power transformer, distribution systems and renewable energy. He has published in high ranking journal and involves actively as a reviewer for IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution journal. He is a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE).
