Biography

Charanjit is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University's Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics (EBS), where she specializes in coordinating, managing and teaching large core Statistics units. She understands the many challenges of providing world-class education to large, culturally diverse cohorts and employs innovative approaches to teaching, including interactive and student-focused activities in lectures. Her innovations have had a positive impact on student outcomes, which is evident from her receiving consistently strong results from Student Evaluation of Teaching Units and various teaching awards such as the Vice Chancellor’s and Dean's award for excellence in teaching and Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (Australian Awards for University Teaching). Charanjit is also actively involved in education-focused research and consistently secures research funding to optimise the impact of new technologies and teaching methodologies in her large classes.
