Biography

Chandra is a distinguished figure in academia, management, and sustainable entrepreneurship, boasting over two decades of professional managerial experience, including 10 years of impactful social entrepreneurship as a Non-profit Founder in India. Notably recognized with the Women in Business Award for Social Entrepreneurship from UNCTAD in 2018, she has received various other accolades for her contributions to gender equality and entrepreneurship promotion. A dedicated advocate for women's empowerment, she regularly speaks at influential platforms such as the United Nations.

Following her completion of a PhD in Psychometrics in 2020, she earned the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship, embarking on a transformative Postdoctoral research journey at Stanford University (2022-2024). It was during this time that she conceived and developed the innovative "Regenerative Startups Assessment Framework," showcasing her unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable entrepreneurship.

She joined Monash University in Feb 2024 and is working as Faculty in Monash Business School teaching at the GEMBA program and developing new units in the domain of Social / Sustainable Entrepreneurship. 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Chandra is a versatile author, known under the pen name "Dr. CeeVee," with published poetry collections including "The Girl in Me" (2019) and "The Woman in Me" (2021). Her latest self-help book, "Fly High Women," co-authored with Prof. Yukio Kamino and Neha Srivasthava was released in March 2024. Additionally, she channels her creativity through screenplay writing and short filmmaking, showcasing her diverse talents and deep-seated commitment to empowerment. She loves to travel and learn about new cultures. She is a proud mom of two teenagers.

Research interests

Chandra's research interests include Entrepreneurship, sustainable entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurship, leadership , gender, gendered innovations, soft skills, managerial skills, and related topics in the scholarship of Teaching and Learning.  She is looking to superivise PhD students in mixed method research works.
