Biography

Cathy Haigh is Deputy Director and Year 4C Academic Coordinator at Monash Rural Health: Latrobe Valley and West Gippsland. Cathy was educated at Dublin University, Trinity College and the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She worked at Strathclyde University and in King's College London, before coming to Monash University. She joined the School of Rural Health in July 2008.

Cathy teaches into the Health Enhancement in Year 3B and Medicine of the Mind in Year 4C. She coordinates Patient Safety teaching (MED5102) for Year 5D at Traralgon.

Cathy is a member of Latrobe Regional Hospital's Human Research Ethics Committee.

Cathy is a Australian Research Council (ARC) Grant Assessor.
