Biography

Bruce works in the Department of Management at Monash Business School.

He is a graduate of two universities in South Africa, and the European Doctoral Program (EDP) in entrepreneurship and small business in Spain and Sweden, and completed his PhD at the UAB, Barcelona, Spain. He was the recipient of a scholarship which allowed him to spend two years in Sweden, working on research projects. He has extensive lecturing experience having been part of the academic staff at universities in Australia, UK, Sweden and South Africa, where he has taught courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels. In addition, he has delivered papers at conferences both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, he has published in several peer-reviewed academic journals, such as Education and Training; Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship; Journal of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Policy Journal. He has co-authored textbooks with Prentice Hall and Oxford University Press, written a number of chapters in various management books with a range of publishers, and regularly reviews textbooks for a range of international publishers.
