Biography
Bo Wen is Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Climate, Air Quality Research Unit, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He also held a Master of Medical Sciences, a Bachelor degree of Medicine, and a Bachelor degree of Mathematics from Peking University, China. His research focuses on understanding how environmental exposures and extreme weather events, such as extreme heat, air pollution, bushfires, and floods, impact health and workforce. He has led and contributed to numerous projects assessing the health impacts among vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, and older adults.
As an early-career researcher, Bo has contributed to over 80 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as NEJM, The Lancet, BMJ, The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, The Lancet Planetary Health, eClinicalMedicine, The Lancet Regional Health – Americas, The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific, and Journal of Hazardous Materials. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Monash Postgraduate Publications Award and the 2026&2024 CHPAMS Travel Award.
