General Research Interests

  • Role of membrane potential in regulating peristalsis in the urinary system
  • Intracellular mechanisms underlying spontaneous activity of the urinary tract and prostate gland
  • Modulating effects of autonomic and sensory nerves on the electrical and contractile activity of spontaneously active smooth muscle preparations

Current Research Areas

  • Intracellular mechanisms underlying spontaneous electrical and contractile activity in the smooth muscle of the prostate gland
  • Role of the autonomic nervous system in the regulation of the spontaneous activity recorded in the isolated prostate gland
