Biography

Asad Malik joined the School of Information Technology, Monash University, Malaysia, as a Lecturer in December 2023. He received his BSc. (Hons.) in Computer Application from Aligarh Muslim University in 2012 and Master's degree in Computer Application from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India, in 2015. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. in Information Security from the School of Information Science and Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 2020. After that, he joined the Department of Computer Science at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, as an Assistant Professor for two years. He is a technical Member of the Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA). He is also a reviewer of many reputed journals and conferences. 

Research interests

His research interests include Multimedia Forensics and Security, Image Processing and Deep Learning. Presently, his focus lies specifically in the dominion of DeepFake forensics.
