Research interests

Dr Anna Podorova works in the Faculty of Education, Monash University. She has extensive language teaching experience in various Australian and overseas contexts. Her research focuses on cultural identity, intercultural communication, the use of English as an international language and post-entry English language proficiency , personal literacy and numeracy development in tertiary settings. Anna’s recent work has involved projects on improving international students’ placement experiences in Australian contexts, creating integrated academic language development resources for academics and students in Australian universities, and the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) implementation.
