Personal profile

Biography

I earned the Bachelor and Master degrees in Neuroscience and Immunology in Taiwan in 2007. After graduation, I worked as a Research Assistant with Professor Linda Chia-Hui Yu in National Taiwan University in Taiwan to explore the Mucosal Immunology in different gastrointestinal diseases from 2007 to 2013. In 2013, I received the full PhD scholarship from the Ministry of Education of Taiwan and then was awarded the PhD in Neuroscience from the John Curtin School of Medicine Research, Australian National University in Australia in 2018. I worked with Assoc.Prof. Krisztina Valter to study the effects of photobiomodulation on immune responses, preventing and ameliorating retinal degeneration.  After completion of my PhD, I work as a Research Fellow with Assoc.Prof. Mikaël Martino in the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute in Monash University in Australia since 2018.

Research interests

My current project is to explore a neuro-immuno-tissue regenerative axis, by understanding the interrelationship between the peripheral nervous system, immune system, and tissue healing process. My ultimate research goal is to seek and design efficient and practical regenerative strategies to improve and accelerate the impaired and chronic tissue healing.
