Biography
Amutha Selvaraj joined School of Pharmacy, Monash University in January 2020 . She graduated with Master of Clinical Pharmacy at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and is a registered pharmacist in Malaysia. Being a pharmacist for many years, she has retail and clinical pharmacy practice experience in both community and hospital settings in Malaysia. She has contributed in setting up new pharmacy, pharmacy management, medication dispensing, patient counseling and Continuing Medical Education (CME) as part of training and development programme for pharmacy technicians and junior pharmacists. With her keen interest for continuous education and teaching, she transitioned to academia in 2018. She has been actively engaged in module coordination, facilitation, clinical pharmacy teaching and supervising undergraduate students in research. She is interested in non-communicable diseases with specific interest in patient education and counseling.
Research interests
Amutha's specific research interest is in the field of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice involving patient care and education, counseling, interventional study related to quality of life and research involving integration of community pharmacy services into primary care.
