Biography

Amin works in the Civil Engineering Department at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer. He is the Head of Structures Group and Coordinator of Engineering for Extremes at Civil Engineering Department.

His research interests include:

  • Steel, concrete and steel-concrete composite frames and connections subjected to extreme actions including fire, blast, impact and earthquake
  • Innovative ultra-high performance tubular constrcution
  • Nonlinear analysis of steel and steel-concrete composite structures
  • Evaluation and rehabilitation of structures subjected to extreme actions
