Biography

Ami is a social researcher with expertise in socioeconomic wellbeing, including its conceptualisation and measurement, as well as individual and structural factors that support it. Her PhD examined how individual employees engage in socially responsible behaviour at work. This was followed by several years at the University of Western Australia Centre for Social Impact researching social issues such as homelessness, entrenched disadvantage, food insecurity, and domestic violence.

Prior to joining MCCCRH, Ami worked with MCCCRH Director Libby Lester at the Institute for Social Change at the University of Tasmania, investigating how community voice can be integrated into wellbeing approaches to public policy with a view to better, more sustainable, and more inclusive decision making.
