Biography

Dr Aidil Zaini is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Immunology, within the School of Translational Medicine. He completed his PhD studies at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute (2018-2021), where he explored the mucosal immune responses during allergy and worm infections. Since joining the Mucosal Immunology Research Group in late 2021, the overarching goal of his research is to identify the distinct relationship between diet, neuro-immune interactions, and the gut-immune-brain axis during homeostasis and inflammation, such as inflammatory bowel disease.
