Biography

Dr Ahmed Abdalla is a Senior Lecturer (tenured Assistant Professor) in the Department of Accounting, Monash University, Australia. He has been a research scholar at Columbia University in New York City and a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Monash, he has been a full-time faculty fellow at the London School of Economics.

Ahmed received a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from King’s College London and completed part of his doctoral training at the University of Cambridge.

Ahmed’s main research interests are the macroeconomic consequences of firm-level accounting information and the valuation of equity.

His research is accepted/published in the Accounting Review, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Review of Accounting Studies.
