Dr. Ahmed Abdalla is a Senior Lecturer (tenured Assistant Professor) in the Department of Accounting at Monash University, Australia. He has been a research scholar at Columbia University in New York City and a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Monash, he was on the faculty at the London School of Economics.
Ahmed received a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from King’s College London and completed part of his doctoral training at the University of Cambridge. His main research interests are the macroeconomic consequences of firm-level accounting information and the valuation of equity.
Ahmed’s research has been published in top-tier journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Review of Accounting Studies. His research in macro-accounting has achieved the highest category of impact at Monash University and gained international recognition, including from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
